The Indiana Genealogical Society offers several awards:

Elaine Spires Smith Family History Writing Award

Named after the late editor of the IGS newsletter, this $500 award recognizes excellence in writing.

Electronic Database Award

This $500 award recognizes outstanding databases that are contributed to the IGS website.

Library Staff Educational Scholarship

A $500 scholarship for a library employee to help them increase their genealogical knowledge and thus better serve the public.

Service Awards

These $500 awards recognize individuals for their contributions and service to the field of Indiana genealogy.
