Purpose:
This scholarship offered by the Indiana Genealogical Society (IGS) is to be used to increase the genealogical knowledge and thus the effectiveness of those persons that serve library patrons.
Award Details:
Eligibility Requirements:
The scholarship is limited to libraries located in Indiana and the employees of these libraries.
The library must allow public access to its collection.
The library employee:
Library staff that are new to the field of genealogy are encouraged to apply.

Notification:
The recipient will be notified by mail and recognized in the next IGS newsletter.
A certificate will be presented at the IGS annual meeting unless otherwise arranged with sponsoring library.
Duties Required from Recipient:
Education must be completed within one year of receiving award at the IGS annual meeting.
The recipient must write a one page report to the IGS Board describing the educational experience within one month of its completion.
The recipient must plan to share knowledge gained by providing a service to a society or library.
The service requires:
The recipient agrees to serve on the award selection committee the following year.
