Corona Virus Update

It is with deep regret that due to CDC restrictions and an abundance of caution, the 2020 Indiana Genealogical Society conference will not be held as planned in Terre Haute next month.

IGS will, however, still bring you the wonderful experience of hearing from our main speaker, Michael Lacopo. Michael has agreed to move to a virtual conference setting. More details will be forthcoming as the board works out the details to this new type of programming. Those who have already registered will have the option to attend the virtual conference or receive a refund. We anticipate that the virtual conference will be at a reduced rate, so those who have already paid will receive a refund of the difference in price.

We will hold the IGS annual meeting during this virtual conference as well. We regret that we will not be able to recognize our award recipients in person nor our lineage society inductees. We hope to be able to provide some online content to recognize these people.

Please be on the lookout for more information via the IGS website, social media, and email in the coming days about the new virtual program. If we are able to work with our other scheduled speakers for the 2nd conference track, and our society seminar, we will offer those sessions online in the future.
