Membership

To join the Indiana Genealogical Society online, just fill out your information below (we use Paypal). You can also fill out and mail in the membership form (PDF format). IGS will send you an e-mail when your membership login for the Members-Only section has been activated. IGS makes every effort to activate your membership login within 72 hours of receiving payment.

Members of the Indiana Genealogical Society receive:

• Access to the Members-Only section, which includes 1,050+ databases as well as the current issues of IGS Newsletter and Indiana Genealogist.
• E-mail notifications when the latest issues of IGS Newsletter and Indiana Genealogist are available for download.
• A monthly e-mail, Indiana News, filled with items of interest to the Indiana genealogy community.
• A discount on registration to the IGS annual Conference in April.
• A discount on selected publications in the IGS Shop.

Membership is based on the calendar year. Memberships purchased in 2013 will expire on December 31, 2013.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES:

• Individual/Organization - For either an individual or an organization (such as a society or library).
• Joint Members - For 2 people who are residing at the same address who BOTH want to receive the member discount on conference registration.
• Overseas - For those whose postal address is outside the United States. The overseas rate for membership reflects the cost of postage to send official IGS mailings such as ballots.

Occasionally the Indiana Genealogical Society makes its membership list available to carefully selected groups for a specific mailing. If you do NOT want IGS to make your contact information available to these outside groups, please select "NO" for the option "Share member's contact info".
