This is a database of the dates of death that are listed in Hendricks County probate packets, which are being organized, indexed and digitized by the Indiana Genealogical Society as part of the Records Preservation Project. This database is in progress - so far the dates of death range from 1837 up to 1936.

This database may be searched in the following ways:

• Contains – will search for text that has all or part of this term. For example, if you searched for the term "Smith," your results would include Smith as well as Hammersmith, Smithers, etc.
• Exact – will search for this exact term only. Searching for "Smith" would only give you results of Smith.
• Soundex – will search for the Soundex equivalents to this term. Searching for "Smith" would give you results of Smith as well as Smyth.
