Source: A March 26, 1897 commencement program for Clay Township District School #4 in Centerton (a common school went up to 8th grade). Centerton was an unincorporated community in Clay Township; today it is part of the Martinsville school district. This commencement program was saved by the Kirk family of Morgan County, and is in the collection of the Ten O'Clock Line Chapter, DAR.
