Confederate Soldiers Buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana

BACKGROUND: In 1912 the cemetery erected a granite monument with the names of 11 Confederate prisoners of war who died in a local prison and were interred in Woodlawn Cemetery. Ten of these 11 soldiers were part of Gantt's 9th Battalion, Tennessee Cavalry.
