Muster Roll of 97th Indiana Infantry in the Civil War (1862)

Contributed by Wabash Valley Genealogy Society

Source: Handwritten muster rolls that were discovered in Terre Haute. The source is not known - some of the names on these muster rolls vary from what is listed on the Indiana Adjutant General's official report. The men on these muster rolls come from various counties in Indiana, including Clay, Greene, Parke, Sullivan and Vigo.

The 97th Indiana Infantry was created in 1862 in Terre Haute - read a brief history of the regiment from Dyer's compendium.
