Contributed by Wabash Valley Genealogy Society

Source: Handwritten muster rolls that were discovered in Terre Haute. The men on these muster rolls come from various counties in Indiana, including Clay, Greene, Parke, Sullivan and Vigo.

The 97th Indiana Infantry was created in 1862 in Terre Haute - read a brief history of the regiment from Dyer's compendium.
