The Indiana Genealogical Society will hold a seminar on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, in conjunction with the Annual Conference. The theme will be "Preservation From The Bottom Up." Pre-registration is $5 each (registration will be $7 each at the door, if seating is still available). Registration is FREE for all members of IGS chapters and all appointed Indiana County Genealogists (ICGs).
Schedule of Events:9 am - Registration 9:15 am - Welcome and Opening Remarks - Curt Witcher, President, Indiana Genealogical Society 9:30 am - Preservation at the Personal Level (1 LEU for librarians) - Shirley Fields, Treasurer, Indiana Genealogical Society 10:30 am - Break 10:45 am - Preservation at the Local Society Level (1 LEU for librarians) - Margery Graham, Northeast Director, Indiana Genealogical Society 11:45 am - Lunch - on your own 1 pm - Preservation at the County Level (1 LEU for librarians) - Erin Coffman and Shirley Fields, Hendricks County Probate Records Project 2 pm - Break 2:15 pm - Preservation at the Archive Level (1 LEU for librarians) - Steve McShane, Archivist, Calumet Archives & Marlene Polster, Chicago Title Project 3:15 - 4 pm - Indiana County Genealogist (ICG) Meeting & Roundtable Discussion |
